TERESA VÁZQUEZ
Doctor of LawTeresa Vázquez, J.D. brings over a decade of legal and immigration experience to Certified Immigration Services (CIS), where she has successfully led the preparation and approval of more than 1,000 visa and immigration petitions. She is widely recognized for her professionalism, strategic insight, and hands-on involvement throughout each stage of the process.
Teresa earned her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and her Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where she served as a member editor of the SIU Law Journal. She also completed a specialization in International and Immigration Law, forming the foundation of her career advocating for individuals, families, and businesses navigating the complexities of the U.S. immigration system.

At CIS, Teresa focuses on a broad range of immigration matters, with particular expertise in temporary and permanent employment-based visas, foreign investor visas, and family-based petitions. She collaborates closely with U.S. employers to help them become sponsoring companies and fill essential positions—both professional and entry-level—ensuring workforce consistency and compliance with immigration laws.

Originally from Valparaíso, Chile, Teresa immigrated to the United States in 1996. As a native Spanish speaker and immigrant, herself, she brings a personal understanding and deep empathy to her work. Her commitment extends beyond her legal practice: she has organized and participated in numerous immigration clinics and works with nonprofit organizations to educate immigrant communities about college access and scholarship opportunities.
Teresa serves clients across the U.S. and abroad, offering consultations via phone and Zoom. Her legal acumen, integrity, and personalized approach continue to make her a trusted resource for those seeking expert immigration guidance through Certified Immigration Services.
